If you have read my blog before, you know we love our local My Gym, so what better place to celebrate JD's big day? I decided on a ball pit theme and ran with it!
The kids enjoyed pizza and juice boxes, and I enjoyed making the Ball Pit Cupcakes and Cereal Bars.
|
Made just like rice krispie treats but with Trix. |
|
I bagged them and sealed with stickers (which didn't print exactly lined up right, but whatever). |
|
After frosting the cupcakes, I dipped them in candy-covered chocolate balls in the colors of the ball pit. |
For favors, I wrapped large playground balls in clear plastic tablecloth that I bought in a huge roll at PartyCity. (Would anybody actually put a clear plastic tablecloth on a table?) I made circular tags and finished them off with ribbon.
|
Cutting the circles wasn't as huge of a nightmare as I thought it was going to be because I found an adjustable circle cutter at the craft store. I used it to make the small circles for the party hats, too. |
|
And then I made 20 of them. (20 toddlers = the party was NOT at my home) |
And of course, we PLAYED!

Dude, I REALLY need a My Gym. That looks awesome. And your ball pit details are so creative!
ReplyDeleteThat is so adorable and a great birthday theme!! I love the trip ball treats, very clever ideas! Visiting from SITS sharefest!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely adorable! How creative! I would never think to do one, big party favor. But it probably cost the same as a bunch of junk in a tiny plastic favor bag! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome party! Such fun ideas for really going with the ball pit theme for every little detail.

Love this! I really like the ball pit bars. How did you make the label stickers for them?
ReplyDeleteI bought circle sticker labels that work with my home printer and then designed the stickers with the software recommended on the label.
DeleteLove the playground balls! Are they the 16" or 10"?
ReplyDeleteThey are the 16" My kids still play with them years later!

ReplyDeleteIs there a template for the Invitations you used?
ReplyDeleteI ordered them custom on etsy. The link to the shop is at the very end of the post above.
DeleteHow did you print on the circles?
ReplyDeleteI printed it on regular printer paper with a layout that would fit inside the circle I wanted to cut, and then just cut the circle after it printed. It took a little trial and error, but once it fit correctly, I was ready to go!
DeleteWhere did you order the favor bouncy balls from?
